Tony Sacca is the Mt. Holly Pro Day 2004 honoree. Born April 17, 1970 in Delran Township, Tony attended Delran High School where he was an outstanding athlete. His athletic ability brought him to the attention of many colleges. Tony accepted a football scholarship from Penn State University where he played quarterback for legendary coach Joe Paterno from 1988-1991. While at Penn State he was often selected as Penn State's Player of the Game. During his college career he amassed a record setting 6,000 yards total offense and 35 straight game starts. Tony was a second round pick in the 1992 draft. He was selected by the Arizona Cardinals. He was their quarterback from 1992-93. Sacca then played in Spain for the Barcelona Dragons, an American football team that was part of the World League of American Football and later the resurrected NFL Europe.
