He finished the season tied for 9th in sacks in the NFL despite missing 2 games due to injury and was signed to a six-year extension. He was also named second alternate for the 2007 Pro Bowl. During his fourth season, Shaun emerged as a leader on the San Diego defense. He started in 15 games and tacked on 68 tackles, 8.5 sacks, two interceptions and a touchdown to his stats. He was also named to his first Pro Bowl that season. In April 2013 as an unrestricted free agent, Phillips joined the Denver Broncos. He played all 16 games and led that team with 10 sacks. The following year he signed with the Tennessee Titans but was then later picked up by the Indianapolis Colts. Phillips lives in California with interests that include commercial real estate, business ventures and volunteering with youth programs. We salute Shaun Jamal Phillips for his achievements both on and off of the football field!
