AutoCAD software does 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD). Created by Autodesk, AutoCAD was the first CAD software and it is still the most widely used program today by architects, graphic designers, engineers, city planners, project managers and more. Learning AutoCAD and earning Autodesk Certified User (ACU) certification, an industry-recognized credential, can effectively start an individual's career as a designer, engineer, and maker.
With ONLC's Computer Aided Drafting & Design with AutoCAD Certification Program, you will learn to use the software effectively while prepping for AutoCAD certification. ACU certification lets employers know a candidate has the necessary skills and program knowledge to develop blueprints and drawings for architects, designers, engineers and builders to construct some of the world’s most amazing creations.
Enhance your resume, get noticed and most importantly get hired by having the industry-recognized ACU certification!

Instructor-led Training (ILT): Classes are live with an online subject-matter professional leading and supporting the class. You'll work hands-on with the software and its features doing labs and exercises throughout the class. Training is fully interactive via online instructor . You can ask questions, participate in class discussions and get assistance directly from the instructor during class. Students select their class dates from our public schedule. Special Note: Those attending AutoCAD classes from home should use a wheeled mouse. A trackpad is not sufficient as AutoCAD is heavily dependent on selecting points and right clicking for additional menus.
On-Demand (self-study): AutoCAD On-Demand courses are self-study, self-paced you take using your own equipment. With 24/7 access for up to 12 months you can repeat and review sections as often as needed to reinforce what you've learned in the live training. On-Demand format features video tutorials, live labs, assessments plus...
Note: On-Demand courses require you to have your own computer loaded with the software you are learning. While access to the software is provided in our ILT classes, it is not provided with the On-Demand format.

Autodesk Certified User (ACU) certification confirms students have entry-level skills such as creating or plotting drawings, editing objects, working with layouts, to effectively use AutoCAD software. Our training plus 150 hours of hands-on experience with Autodesk AutoCAD® are strongly recommended before attempting the ACU Exam.
Review ACU exam objectives .
Authorized certification exams test a candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities using the software. Exams typically include multiple-choice and performance-based questions. To maintain integrity exam content is subject to change at any time without prior notice. As such, training may not cover all exam topics.
AutoCAD ACU Exam. The ACU exam is available from Certiport. A test from home option is available to ONLC CareerPath students. Thought not a requirement, many who earn ACU certification continue their quest by earning Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) certification. This advanced-level credential confirms a professional's knowledge of the tools, features, and common tasks of AutoCAD including dimensioning, drawing skills, using hatching and gradients, and more. ONLC's ACP courses along with extensive hands-on experience with AutoCAD (some suggest up to 1200 hours) are recommended before attempting the ACP Exam.

In addition to AutoCAD training, ONLC has classes for Autodesk Civil 3D, Inventor and Revit. See all Autodesk courses .
