Azure Pass Instructions

STEP 1: Create a NEW Windows Live Account

Do not use an existing Windows Live account or email address. You must use a totally NEW Windows Live account for the Free Azure Pass to work.

Close all other browsers as other logins can persist and cause errors during the activation process.

• Using Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome (IE no longer works for this process) navigate to https://signup.live.com.
  
  
• Do NOT accept the current account default. You must create a new live.com email address.
  Enter a user/email name that you haven't used before. It will be placed in front of @outlook.com. You will be prompted if your input is not unique. If that happens you will need to input a different name until successful. The finished result will be [username you inputted]@outlook.com.
  
  
• Enter a password for your new account.
  
  IMPORTANT: Write down your NEW Windows Live name and password—you will need those credentials in Step 2. ONLC will not be able to provide your credentials should you forget them.
  
  
• Add your details then click Next.
  
  
• Solve the puzzle on the screen to confirm you are a real person creating. Click Next to activate the puzzle.
  
  
• When completed, you should see a screen similar to this:
  

STEP 2: Get Your Azure Pass / ONLC Student Code

Once your New Windows Live account has been created...

• Go to https://www.microsoftazurepass.com.
  
  
• Click START then sign in using your New Windows Live account.
  
  
  
  
• CRITICAL: If your newly created Windows Live account detail is not listed on the below screen click SIGN OUT immediately and try again.
  
  
• Only if your NEW Windows Live account information is listed should you click Confirm Microsoft Account .
  
  
  
  
• You will be prompted to enter the promo code that was sent to you via email from ONLC.
  
  



• Once you've entered the promo code you MUST click Claim Promo Code to redeem your free pass.
  
  CRITICAL: DO NOT MOVE ON until you are sure your account has been activated, otherwise your Azure Code will be broken and cannot be reinstated or used again. You might see a message that set up is taking longer than usual—be patient! If you get an error, click the BACK button on your web browser and try again.
  
  
• Complete the Microsoft Azure request form with your NEW Windows Live account detail then click NEXT .
  
  CRITICAL: Enter only your New Windows Live e-address on the form for "important notifications." Using any other e-address will void your free pass.
  
  
  
  
  Then...
  
  
  
  
• Read and agree to the Microsoft Azure 30-day Pass Trial Agreement then click Sign Up .

Your Azure Pass account should now be established.
