Willie "Flipper" Anderson is the honoree for Mt. Holly Pro Day 2010. Born March 7, 1965 he grew up in Paulsboro, New Jersey and played football for Paulsboro High School. A standout 6'-0" wide receiver, Flipper was one of the nation's top high school football recruits in 1983. He accepted a scholarship to UCLA where he was a favorite target of UCLA quarterback Troy Aikman. Flipper entered the NFL Draft in 1988 where he was a second round draft pick of the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Rams from 1988 to 1995. Many feel that 1989 was one of his best seasons. It's also the year in which he became a member of The "300" Club — NFL receivers with 300 yards receiving in a single game. The list includes: THE "300" CLUB
Flipper joined the Indianapolis Colts in 1995 followed by the Washington Redskins in 1996 and the Denver Broncos 1997. Flipper played 10 seasons in the NFL. NFL Career Stats:
Today Willie lives in New Jersey and has been able to cheer his son, Little Flipper Anderson, who is also a wide receiver at his alma mater of Paulsboro. We salute Willie "Flipper" Anderson for his continued involvement both on and off the field and are proud to have him as the Mt. Holly Pro Day 2010 Honoree. ©
